She completed this school, unique on the ex-Yugoslavian territory, at the age of sixteen, in the class of Prof. Djerdj Zazrović and then enrolled at the Faculty of Music Art at Belgrade, class of Prof. Aleksandar Pavlović, and graduated as the best student of her generation.

She has perfected her skills at master classes held by G. Zhislin, N. Kecman, H. Krebbers. Thanks to the cooperation with Prof. A. Pavlović, renowned violin teacher and conductor of the Belgrade Chamber Orchestra “Dušan Skovran”, she has started her professional concert activities in that chamber orchestra when she was still a student, i.e. from 1985 to 1992. With this orchestra, she has performed at more than 200 concerts in the country and abroad, regularly performing solo sections. Regarding international tours, the following countries need to be pointed out: USA, China, France, Belgium, the Netherlands, Spain and England.

In 1992, she moved, together with her family, to the Netherlands where she has lived for twelve years. She has worked at the Art Center at Eindhoven as violin teacher. During that period of time, her students performed numerous times at concerts in several cities in the Province of Brabant (Eindhoven, Breda, Tilburg, ‘s-Hertogenbosch, Helmond).

In 2004, she has returned to Ćuprija, her hometown, and started to work at the School for Music Talents as violin teacher. Knowing the essence of education in this school, she has committed herself to education of musically talented children from 7 to 18 years of age.

During ten years of teaching, pupils from her class have participated at numerous concerts of the school, but also at competitions such as: Republic Competition of the Community of Music and Ballet Schools of Serbia, International String Competition at Niš, “Guarnerius” competition at Belgrade, String Festival at Sremska Mitrovica, International Competition (EMCY) “Petar Konjović”, “Young Virtuoso” at Belgrade, where her pupils/students have won 60 prizes in total.

In 2008, as a representative of the unique school at Ćuprija, she has participated at development of the project “Strategy of Development and Work with Talented Children in Serbia” at the Institute for Improvement of Education at the Ministry of Education.

She was a member of the jury at the Republic Competition, Festival of Music and ballet Schools, “Stringfest” at Sremska Mitrovica, International String Competition “Daleki akordi” (Distant Chords) at Split and International Competition “Sonus” at Križevci (Croatia). In November 2023, she gave a lecture in Zagreb, organized by the Croatian Association of String Pedagogues (ESTA), and entitled “Work with Talented Children at the School for Music Talents at Ćuprija” contributing thus to the international cooperation of this school with schools outside Serbia.

She has also made it possible for the pupils from the School to go on a tour in China when the Contract on Cooperation was concluded between the School and Experimental Primary School from Nan Jing which fosters traditional Chinese opera singing.

She has broadened international cooperation by establishing contacts and cooperation with maestro Igor Coretti and ECYO Orchestra which has been performing and developing successfully for several years and pupils have the opportunity to perform every year in different cities and impressive halls in Italy.

Since the very founding of the “Kustendorf Classic” festival, Danijela Jović has established cooperation with the organizers of this renowned international festival at which the pupils from the School perform as soloists as well as in chamber ensembles and orchestras and contribute to promotion of music art and culture.

She is a co-organizer of the festival of music excellence “Ravanelius” at Ćuprija, which remarkably promotes classic music and young professionals as well as famous conductors and soloists. Excellent pupils from the School for Music Talents at Ćuprija regularly perform at this excellent festival.

As a person who is capable to recognize chances for cooperation with quality artists in the country and abroad and opportunities for promotion of the School and establishment of contacts with renowned and successful artists, Danijela Jović has established cooperation with Art Director of the Guitar Art Festival, Mr. Boško Radojičić, and the School orchestra has been performing for two seasons already at this significant international event.

Cooperation with a guitarist and composer, Ms. Maja Le Roux-Obradović, has resulted in establishment of a series of concerts “Strings & Stars” which have been held each December in Ćuprija and Belgrade, with support of embassies and soloists from different European countries performing on different instruments.

In 2023, the School has celebrated a jubilee, 50 years since the establishment, headed by Director Danijela Jović, and that year, 20 jubilee concerts were held at which chamber orchestras and two orchestras of the School performed together with the school soloists, but also with guests from the country and abroad.

The School gained wonderful experience in 2024, through cooperation with the Foundation “Alek Kavčić” which donated to the School all necessary schoolbooks, and for the purpose of audio recordings for music education, the pupils and teachers have recorded certain pieces of music. As a result of this cooperation, a Christmas Concert was organized in the crowded Celebratory Hall of the Kolarac Foundation.

In the 10th year of managing the School, the results have not been unnoticed, on the contrary, the School for Music Talents has received the Sretenje Medal of the 3rd order for special achievements in education.

Besides her regular activities, Danijela Jović, as Director, successfully organizes concerts and concert tours and supports participation of pupils at competitions. As a result, there is a large number of prizes won at competitions both in the country and abroad, where pupils from this School, which has the status of a school of national importance, represent with dignity the School and city from which they arrive as well as our country.

Since several years ago, the pupils from Croatia and Bosnia and Herzegovina have also been attending this School, because extending to the countries from the Region and internationalization is the path which the School for Music Talents, lead by Danijela Jović, needs to follow in future.
