    Zorana Prvulovic-Mircic
    Organizer of Practical Teaching at the School for Music Talents

    Zorana Prvulovic-Mircic was born in 1966 in Niš. She fell in love with cello in 1975. She has completed the Primary and Secondary School in eight years at the School for Music Talents at Ćuprija, and enrolled at the Faculty of Music Art at Belgrade in 1983. She has studied in classes of Neven Požgaj, Ljuba Polojac, Fransoaz Jakovčić, Radovan Jakovčić and Viktor Jakovčić. She graduated in the class of Prof. Fransoaz Jakovčić. She has been teaching since 1989. She has worked at the following music schools at Belgrade: “Petar Konjović”, “Davorin Jenko”, “Stanislav Binički”, “Mokranjac” and “Jovan Bandur” at Pančevo. After many years of successful work and prizes received with her pupils, she has received the invitation and went to the School for Music Talents at Ćuprija where she still works.

    In the period from 1990 to 2006, she has only worked as a teacher and won numerous prizes at national and international competitions and festivals with her pupils among which are the following:

    • 1 special prize (national)
    • 10 first prizes (4 international, 3 national and 3 festival prizes)
    • 4 second (international) prizes
    • 7 third prizes (6 international and 1 national)

    From 2006 to 2013 she has been working in parallel as cello teacher and educator. As alumna, she participates at the work of School’s education unit with a wish to improve the conditions of life and work of pupils and employees at the dorm.

    From 2012 to 2017 has also been working in practical teaching/coordination of music classes as support for pupils in their independent work and preparation of demanding programs, organization of music classes, learning, practicing and free time.

    She has been working as a Practical Teaching Organizer since 2017 and, since the end of the same year, as Deputy Director of the School and her tasks are preparation of plans and programs, monitoring and evaluation of pedagogical-educational and educational-pedagogical work and organization, such as coordination of the music classes with classes of general education, preparation of schedules for group and individual classes for teachers and pupils and schedules for educators. Through her advisory activities, she regularly communicates with pupils, parents and employees. Through the cooperation with the Institute for Improvement of Education and National Education Council of the Republic of Serbia, she has been working with dedication on preparation of a new teaching plan and program of the School for Music Talents which was published in 2017. She is a coordinator of work of school groups and teams and is an active member of many of them.

    From 2014 to 2018, she was President of the School Board at the School for Music Talents. She is also a mentor and member of numerous committees at the School (for acceptance of pupils at the dorm, checking of accomplishment of training programs for trainees, checking of applications for employment of educators, teachers and professional assistants…)

    Since 2016, as the authorized delegate of the School for Music Talents, she participates at the work of the Assembly of the Association of Music and Ballet Schools of Serbia.

    She has regularly improved herself at the approved seminars of the Institute for Improvement of Education in all priority fields.

    She has participated in the organization of the 52nd Festival of music and ballet schools of Serbia held from 05th to 12th May 2008, at the School for Music Talents at Ćuprija. At the same festival, she has participated in the work of the jury. She has also been a member of the teams dealing in organization of the concerts held to celebrate the anniversaries of the School (35th, 45th and 50th) and preparation of the School monography. At that occasion, she has received a letter of appreciation for her contribution to the work and development of the School.
